Barangay Libertad has a
total land area of 537 hectares and located 21 kilometers southeast of
Koronadal. It is bounded on the north and east by th e municipality of Banga,
on the south by the barangay of Centrala and on the west by barangay Dajay. The
barangay has a better access to services of either the government or private
institution. It is the seat of a government of the municipality of Surallah.
The barangay is divided into seven zones- zone1. Zone 2a, zone 2b, zone 3, zone
4, zone 5 and zone 6.
Two subdivision Agan Homes, located at zone6 and
Villanueva Plains, located at zone1.
Topography
The topography of the areas is
generally plain with enough supply of irrigation water from the Allah Valley
River irrigating 157.98 hectares of rice land
Demography
Latest
census of total population of the barangay reached to 16,037 dominated by
females. Almost 50% of the total population are in the working ages. Age range
from 22-29 has the biggest share of 41.44% and only 7.14% for the age range of
18-21. Only 4.55% are senior citizens and the rest are the school age.
